What is the process like?
The process begins with a consultation, during which the aesthetics professional assesses the patient’s anatomy, needs, and expectations.
To begin the procedure, a local anesthetic is applied, usually with a topical cream. The injection must be administered by a professional who will use the appropriate technique based on the results of the prior assessment.
After the injection, a gentle massage is performed to distribute the product evenly.
The results are immediate, although temporary swelling may occur.
The results last approximately 6 to 12 months, depending on the patient’s metabolism and habits (smoking, sun exposure, etc.).
The procedure is safe if performed by a trained professional.
However, bruising (common in the first 48-72 hours), temporary asymmetries due to swelling, and lumps (which disappear with massage or time) may occur.
Risks may arise if the patient does not take the pretreatment precautions prescribed by the professional.
